I'm the kind of dude who likes Ender's Game, a book about a young kid who is trained via 3D laser tag to fight off an alien invasion. And yet, when I read it as a kid, it just never clicked for me, which is odd. So I recently reread it in order to figure out precisely why, and I think I've figured it out.
